What is the AXA LPGA Volunteer Service Award?

The AXA LPGA Volunteer Service Award was created to honor a deserving volunteer at each LPGA Tournament during the season who has exemplified the spirit of volunteerism and gone above and beyond expectations in his/her role. If the event is new, then someone who was instrumental in bringing the event to fruition or internal stewarding for the Title Partner can be selected.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of any tournament, so this award celebrates their stories and charity tournament partners each week.

The Tournament Director and/or Title Sponsor will be asked to nominate one deserving volunteer, group, or company representative using the Nomination Form. An LPGA representative will then follow up with the nominated volunteer to schedule an interview to be used on select LPGA channels (TV, digital, and social).

LPGA Communications will also recognize and include the nominee in weekly notes to the media and the Tournament Director will be asked to present an AXA LPGA Volunteer Service Award plaque to the recipient sometime during tournament week, perhaps at the Volunteer Party. A Volunteer Service Award page will be set up on LPGA.com to track weekly nominees. In addition, an AXA LPGA Volunteer Service Award graphic will be added to the content wheel for electronic messaging and feature the name of the tournament nominee.
